Who We Are

Never Alone Widows began in 2018 as a simple idea to provide community for widows. After our first gathering held in a Georgia suburb, the volunteer team knew that our concept was uniquely special and there was a definite need for more. The planning began, the team grew, and we began hosting retreats across the country.

Currently, we hold three retreats and one national gathering per year. In 2022 we launched Never Alone Locals – widow-led and facilitated Never Alone Chapters – and currently have more than 50 plus groups meeting monthly throughout the United States. In 2024 we’re launching two online groups and ten more local chapters, with plans to continue growing every day and hopefully expand internationally! Our current programming allows us to impact thousands of widows per year.

In January of 2022 we published our first devotional, His Name: Our Hope in Grief, and launched two volumes of a digital resource, How to Widow Well, covering topics that will help the widow navigate the grief journey. With plans to become the largest Christian widows ministry in the country, we are continually seeking new ways to love, engage and support the widow.

2023 CONFERENCE RECAP

We host two different types of retreats for widows.

Our Never Alone retreats are available to widows with school-aged children still in the home. We also offer retreats specifically for military and first responder widows through a partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Never Alone Locals are local groups of women who gather together in communities throughout the US and journey widowhood together.
