ABOUT US

At Never Alone Widows, our heart beats for one thing—seeing widows healed, their lives changed and restored through the love of Jesus and the power of community. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, we exist to provide healing, comfort, and community for widows through retreats, a national conference, local chapters across the nation, as well as valuable online resources.

Through retreats, an annual conference, local chapters, books and online resources, we create sacred spaces where widows can encounter God’s healing presence and find friendship that lasts long after the experiences end.

Every year, widows from across the country and beyond gather for our national conference. It’s two days where generations of widows come together to worship, weep, laugh, and experience the nearness of God. It’s where hearts are healed and destinies are reignited.

Out of these experiences, Never Alone Local Chapters have sprung up all over the nation—each one led by a widow who once sat in the same seat. Today, 73 widow-led chapters meet monthly in 29 states and online, reaching women both nationally and internationally. These gatherings have become the heartbeat of our ministry, carrying the message of “You are seen, loved, and never alone” into living rooms and communities across the world.

We’ve also created a growing library of online resources so widows everywhere can access comfort and tools for healing at their own pace:

And in partnership with BroadStreet Publishing, we released Widow’s Might: 365 Days of Strength for Grief and Loss – Find Comfort, Hope, and Healing, a devotional written to meet widows in their pain and walk with them toward peace.

Since 2018, God has used Never Alone Widows to bring healing and hope to widows across the nation and around the world. And we’re just getting started. We believe what’s been broken can be rebuilt, what’s been lost can be redeemed, and no widow should ever walk this road alone.

OUR PROCESS

1. Reach

Connect with the widow via word of mouth, social media, or our website.

2. Connect

Based on specific criteria, we identify the resources we offer that best meet the widow’s needs. We encourage her to apply to attend a retreat, the National Conference, or join a Never Alone Widows local chapter in her community.

3. Restore

We offer retreats, conferences, local chapters and online resources that provide inspirational teaching and testimonies, prayer-led encounters with the Triune God, and foster community with other widows who understand the journey. We hope these elements help the widows we serve find purpose in their pain and fully embrace the freedom, rest, and transformative power found in the healing power of Jesus Christ.

4. Support

Once involved with our ministry, additional resources and support are provided through our after care program.

OUR SUPPORTERS

Never Alone is supported by a host of donors who believe with us that Romans 8:28 is still true in light of our personal tragedy and pain. Because of their generosity, not only are our retreats are all inclusive but we are able to provide the resources needed to specifically support the young widow as well as widows from multiple demographics. The Widows of Heroes Retreat is solely supported by a generous grant from The Gary Sinise Foundation.
